Fall cards using Honeybee Stamps

Hi everyone,

I decided to share some fall cards that I made using some newer stamps by Honeybee Stamps. I love their products and wanted these pumpkin stamps as soon as I saw them. I stamped all of the pumpkins, leaves, and acorns using my Versafine Onyx black ink because it’s perfect for watercoloring and gives a nice crisp image. I then used my scan n cut machine to cut all of them out. I decided to use my Arteza brush pens to color in all of my images in fall colors. For my backgrounds I used my Ranger Distress Oxide inks and two different stencils. The cloud stencil is from My Favorite Things and the leaves background is from Echo Park. I adhered all of my images to my backgrounds using a combination of tape runner and my Gina K Connect glue. Once I adhered my card panels to their bases I finished up with some white highlights with my white gel pen and some wink of Stella on the leaves for some sparkle. That is all for my cards today. A little Hello Bluebird 💜

Hi everyone!

I’m back with a new (finished) Card for you today using stamps from Hello Bluebird called Rainy Day. I watched a video on YouTube awhile back from Sandy Allnock regarding Copic coloring and rain. So I sort of took that idea and made my own rain. I don’t have the exact same colors as Sandy used though so I used a variety of blues that I do have. For the jacket and boots I used R81, R83, and R85. For the umbrella I believe I used BG18 as my darkest and BG15 and BG13. I believe I used Y04 and Y08 to color the duck. Then YR14 for the beak and feet. I used my C markers for the clouds. You can’t see it much in the photos but I used my Wink Of Stella on her jacket and umbrella. Then I added a couple of white highlights with my gel pen. I think that’s all for today. Thanks for joining me! 😊

Adorable Elephants

Hiii everyone!

If you follow my Instagram (@cinsationaldesign) you know I typically post there before I do an actual blog post (if I do a blog post at all- I’m awful I know). So I’ve add these pictures to Instagram already but wanted to post about how I made them and where my inspiration came from.

These cards are all using stamps from My Favorite Things- Adorable Elephants and how stinkin’ cute are they!? My backgrounds are both done using the cloud stencil from MFT and my pink distress oxide inks. I used Spun Sugar as my lighter color and I believe Work Lipstick for the darker color. I actually have seen the idea of pink clouds before but a video on YouTube from Ashley Tucker Designs is what reminded me and inspired these cards. I stamped these images using my Versafine Onyx Black in and colored them in with my Arteza Real Brush pens. I struggle with using this medium but I’ve been trying to use it more often to get some practice. I just love how sweet these elephants turned out. So cute. 💜 I also added sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and some shimmer from my Wink Of Stella pen.

Alcohol inked backgrounds

CHi everyone thanks for joining me. I decided it’s been awhile since I played with my alcohol inks. So I made a couple of backgrounds trying different techniques and different ink colors. My favorite colors to use are the shades of pink; raspberry, coral, watermelon, and wild plum. I also like purples and blues; amethyst and indigo. I used other colors here and there as well.

These are some of the backgrounds I made.

These orange and yellow backgrounds were done on acetate. Once they dried I heat embossed using my flower background stamp which I believe is an older MFT stamp and white embossing powder. I put this on a yellow piece of cardstock and attached to my top folding card base. I did end up adding some black sequins which aren’t pictured here.

I then used those famous ink colors I mentioned above to do these cards. Both of these use the Thanks die (and outline die) from Simon Says Stamp. While I was working on the top folding card I decided to try to use a piece of Bristol smooth to pick up ink off my yupo paper. The landscape card is the outcome of that. It’s not as bright and bold as the alcohol inks on yupo but I think it’s still pretty! I continued the same way and heat embossed with white embossing powder and added my SSS Thanks die.

Still terrible at blogging

79EAE681-F322-4657-897A-6469A4C77DF8haha. I haven’t done a blog post in a hot minute, huh? Oopsies! I could’ve sworn I posted my news that I am currently on a design team! I am designing with Some Odd Girl. The owner and designer of Some Odd Girl is Kristy. She does only digital stamps and she designs all of them herself. I actually believe I will be on her blog tomorrow with my second blog post I’ve done for the design team.

This card I’m showing today is the first one I’ve had put up on the Some Odd Girl blog. I used the “Capricorn” stamp set which was a freebie but is no longer. FYI; Kristy has been giving away a stamp every month for FREE! Halloween Cards! These are my favorite to make! <3

I love Halloween. Not the scary horror movie aspect but the cute pumpkins and costumes and decorations and the parties and the fun little foods you can make. I love all that stuff. I used a mixture of products here. The backgrounds were all done with Distress Oxide Inks. The Zombie and Witch are from Doodlebug then the other witch and the mummy are Lawn Fawn (Costume Party). The sequins in the shaker are from past kits including Simon Says Stamps’ limited edition Halloween kit from 2017.  Some of them are even left over confetti from a Halloween party (paper crafters..we hoard everything). Halloween cards are my favorite to make! ❤
